Getting your Usher on....
On Monday night, Usher filled the ACC as he set off his first stop on his North American OMG tour. As fans packed the stadium anticipating the opening show by fan favourite Trey Songz it seemed apparent as he got a louder welcome then Usher as upcoming recording artist with Def Jam Records Khaleel wrapped up his performance and introduced Trey. Trey Songz brought the crowd to their feet as with his songs and getting the crowd to interact with him. One of the most surprising parts of the show was when Trey started singing the song ‘Successful’ and popular and Toronto bred artist Drake took the stage to sing the song with him; as you can imagine the crowd went wild at this shocking and welcomed surprise.
Usher took the stage around 8 pm as he floated on a platform over the crowd before he started his well choreographed and visually appealing show. With his amazing dance skills and entertainment that went with it the show kept the crowd on their feet till it ended around 11.30 pm. Trey Songz wasn’t the only one to surprise the crowd with a special guest, Usher brought out Fat Man Scoop who helped him kick off his most popular song that floods every radio station titled “DJ got us fallin’ in love.”
As the show came to the end, myself and every guest in the ACC surely felt that they money spent for their concert ticket was well spent as they saw a concert that not only blew out everyone’s expectations and was visually appealing and entertaining from beginning to end. This concert featured great shows by both featured artist Trey Songz and the main shows artist Usher but as well featured two other well known and popular artists that showed up as a surprise.
So all in all a concert well worth the time and money!
